WHAT IS .NET?
How do I download and install the .NET framework?
Installation of the Microsoft .NET Framework onto your computer is necessary to view and edit EDI forms at DiCentral in the .NET environment. If you have administrator access to your computer, you may download the .NET framework at the Microsoft .NET download page. After installation, you should use the .NET login to access your DiCentral account.
What is .NET?
To quote Microsoft, "the .NET Framework is Microsoft's comprehensive and consistent programming model for building applications that have visually stunning user experiences, seamless and secure communication, and the ability to model a range of business processes."
What does this mean for my DiCentral account?
.NET technology allows DiCentral to update and improve our software for the display and editing of EDI document forms. You may notice a smoother look and feel, as well as additional calculation functions that may be added to make the forms "smarter". Our previous form technology used Microsoft Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which is now being phased out. JVM installation and updating will no longer be needed to display and edit DiCentral's EDI forms.
